Hey Ladies, Men too are human beings!

Photo : Pinterest  On 8th March, every year, we celebrate the day with boundless enthusiasm and joy, by organising parties, raising awareness about gender equality, speaking of the value of women, hosting events, running initiatives, gifting cards, watching empowering films together, and doing everything possible to make every woman feel special on International Women’s Day. --- But when it comes to International Men’s Day, our celebrations are far quieter. First, we must acknowledge the psychological and biological truths about men and women. They are different - unique souls with their own tastes, opinions, and ways of seeing the world. And that is perfectly okay. So here, I share a few thoughts for this occasion. Raise awareness about the challenges men face: In our society, it is all too easy for a woman to make false allegations against a man. Often, even the innocent must endure the crushing weight of societal judgment, legal battles, and the silent torment of mental distress...

But the one thing I used to hate was the dense trees all around — they always gave me the feeling of being in a labyrinth. Photo : 123RF  I was around 6 years old, and my brother was 4 then. He was extremely naughty but also incredibly cute. I was always the one who had to (and still do) tolerate all his mischief, protect him from trouble — and in return, got nothing... not even a simple "thank you" :/ --- Our father had been chatting with a friend, and my brother suddenly started running toward the park's exit. I was running after him, calling out “Papa-Papa” loudly, but he couldn’t hear me due to the noisy surroundings. My brother just kept running — and suddenly, a tall man with a thick beard and mustache, accompanied by two others, picked him ...

One day I'll soar!

Penned this poetry during the recovery phase, this year (2022), in March. Have a look at it.. ( Photo : iStock ) Giggling on the face,  Yet damaged at the core; Fighting for life,  and still... Dreaming, ''One day I'll soar!'' Eyes on the other,  Groaning with fear; Recalling the days,  When they were full of tears. A sparkling hope of new breath,  Urging me to stand up again; And a fire of fierce reprisal inside,  Making me realise of my own worth - day and night. - Anshika Chaturvedi
